We are partnering with Beyond Ourselves (a UK based charity) to build schools in the Copperbelt in Zambia. We began by supporting Beautiful Gate School and now support Janna and Chimwemwe school. In total there are about 700 children at these schools. We help with building, teacher training, basic medical attention, and child sponsorship to bring God’s kingdom to the children, families and communities connected to these schools.
The schools aims to provide a safe educational environment for children between the ages of four and fifteen years. The school builds relationships with parents and extended family members in order to create awareness regarding HIV/Aids and the need of children. Most of the children that attend these schools were previously deprived of education due to a lack of school facilities and the impoverished social and economic backgrounds of their families. The children's self worth has grown tremendously and staff strive to provide an environment in which not only their educational needs are being met but they are also emotional and spiritually healed.
