Trina lives north of Rio de Janeiro in the city of Novo Friburgo. Trina ministers to many young men and women in the hillside slum of Cordoeira where she lives. God has opened many doors for Trina to minister to those involved in gangs and drugs trafficking in her area. She runs a drop in centre where they have church each week and do various outreaches. Trina also goes into the local prison and ministers to the men there. She partners with a local Brazilian church, Marantha Church to minister to their community.

Trina has been in Brazil since December, 2000, having joined the ministry in Nova Friburgo in September 2002. She now co-pastors a small church 'Igreja Comunidade da Colheita' and is vice-president of their project, 'Casa Esperanca'.

Part of the Iris Ministries family of churches and projects, the ministry in Friburgo has strong links with 'Casa de Jesus/Ministerio Iris Brasil' in Sao Paulo and also with 'Iris Ministries' itself under the leadership of Rolland and Heidi Baker in Mozambique.
