Restoring lives, relationships and communities

Restoring lives

We believe that everyone of us was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), but that separation from God and brokenness in our lives prevents many of us from knowing this or living up to it. As a church, we have a passion for people to discover God’s love, and through this to be restored to God’s original design for their lives.

'The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul' - Psalm 23: 1-3a

Restoring relationships

We believe that we were made to be in relationship – firstly with God, but also then with one another. Many today suffer pain and hurt in life through broken homes and other damaged relationships. We believe that Jesus came to restore us in relationship to God, but also to bring healing from past wounds and to restore healthy relationships into our lives.

'For the Son of Man [Jesus] came to seek and to save [restore/make whole/heal] what was lost' - Luke 19:10

Restoring communities

We believe that God intended for us to live in healthy and caring communities. As a result, as a church we aim be accepting and valuing of everyone within, and then to demonstrate God’s love to the wider world through serving communities both locally and also around the world.

'They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations' - Isaiah 61:4
